Self-driving truck firm Einride to go public via SPAC deal at $1.8 billion valuation

Stockholm-based einride announced this week it will go public in the u.S. Through a merger with legato merger corp III, valuing the autonomous trucking company at $1.8 billion.

Founded in 2016, einride currently has $65 million in contracted annual recurring revenue and around $800 million in planned expansions with customers. The company recently raised $100 million from investors including EQT Ventures and is seeking up to $100 million more through the public listing.

“We have a multi-sourcing strategy across all of our important input goods,” CEO roozbeh charli told reuters, addressing concerns about tariff pressures and supply chain stability.

Existing shareholders like EQT and ericsson will retain approximately 83% ownership after the deal closes, with current management staying in place.
